NEADA submitted testimony to the House Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services and Education Appropriations in support of FY 2019 funding for LIHEAP. The testimony requests “no less than $4.7 billion for LIHEAP, the same level as requested in a letter signed by 171 members of Congress and sent to the Subcommittee on March 16, 2018.” The testimony also includes examples of how the program has helped low income families in states around the country.
