May 19, 2021 by clovejoy

Today, NEADA’s Executive Director, Mark Wolfe, testified in front of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, HHS, and Related Agencies. In his testimony, he applauded Congress for providing emergency funding for LIHEAP in order to keep low-income families connected to their energy services during the pandemic. He stressed that the work is not done, and LIHEAP needs $5.1 billion in funding in FY2022 to ensure families continue to get the help they need as the world recovers from the unprecedented health and economic crisis of the past year.
