NEADA Senate Testimony Warns About LIHEAP Being in Crisis

NEADA submitted testimony to the Senate Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies on June 13 that warned Congress that LIHEAP is in crisis. Between the entire federal staff that oversees the program being eliminated by the Trump Administration, delays in the final $387 million of fiscal year 2025 funding, and uncertainty surrounding the program in the face of rising temperatures and utility costs, the threats to LIHEAP are dire.
