Lena Barsky has been with the National Energy Assistance Directors Association (NEADA) and the Center for Energy Poverty and Climate (CEPC) as a Policy Associate since March 2024. They assist Mark Wolfe and Cassandra Lovejoy in conference planning, organizing and hosting educational webinars, and publishing issue briefs, and they work closely with Mark on media strategy and communications.
Prior to their time at NEADA, Lena was a Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Los Angeles in the Department of Classics, and prior to that they worked at Legal Momentum, the Women’s Legal Defense and Education Fund as a federal grant manager, communications and social media associate, and program associate for the National Judicial Education Program. Lena has also analyzed election data and researched redistricting at the National Committee for an Effective Congress, assisted with federal grant administration at the National Immigrant Women’s Advocacy Project, covered Supreme Court news for the Brown Political Review, and served on two editorial boards of the Brown Classical Journal.
Lena holds an MPhil in Greek and/or Latin Languages and Literature from the University of Oxford, St Anne’s College and an AB from Brown University in Classics-Latin.
