On Friday, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released $346 million of the remaining federal fiscal year (FFY) 2021 LIHEAP funds. As in recent years, HHS held back 1% of the funds to be used at the Secretary’s discretion. There is not indication yet how those funds will be used.
