HHS Releases Initial $3.09 billion in FY 2017 LIHEAP Funds

On October 25, 2016, The U.S Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released an initial $3.09 billion in fiscal year 2017 funding for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). This release represents 91% of the total allocation of $3.39 billion for FY 2017, which was approved by Congress in Continuing Appropriations Resolution 2017, Public Law 114-223, which funds the government through December 9, 2016.
