On February 22, 2015 PBS Newshour ran a 20 minute segment on energy assistance and weatherization (see below first link). They interviewed several families in North Carolina that were struggling with high energy bills as well as the Bill Murdock, director of Eblen Charities, the nonprofit agency administering LIHEAP and Jack Heuer from Community Action Opportunities, the local CAA administering WAP. NEADA Executive Director Mark Wolfe was also interviewed as part of a separate segment (see below second link) and had an opportunities to discuss national impact of the cuts in program funding.
