President’s Budget Would Eliminate FY 2021 Funding for LIHEAP

The President’s 2021 budget proposal would eliminate funding for LIHEAP (page 477) for the fourth year in a row. Each year Congress has restored funding for this vital program, and in some years increased LIHEAP’s budget despite the President’s opposition.

NEADA has published a press release rejecting the President’s proposal and emphasizing the important role LIHEAP plays for struggling families across the country.
