Description
Extreme Heat Summit Info: Extreme heat is becoming a significant public health and economic stress—and vulnerable families and communities are paying the highest price. The National Energy Assistance Directors Association and Center for Energy, Poverty and Climate invite you to a one-day summit bringing together solution-focused leaders like yourself to advance state and local policies that keep vulnerable populations thermally safe. The project is supported by a grant from the ClimateWorks Foundation.
We’re convening a select group of government officials, healthcare leaders, energy efficiency experts, industry professionals, and funders to develop concrete strategies to address affordable cooling such as utility led energy efficiency programs, state energy rebate programs, shut off rules, tiered pricing and involving healthcare providers.
