Senate Appropriations Committee Adds $150 Million to LIHEAP for FY 2014

The Senate Appropriations Committee completed action on the FY 2014 appropriations bill for Labor, Health and Human Services and Education. The Committee approved by a voice vote an amendment offered by Senators Reed, Collins, Shaheen and Murkowski to increase LIHEAP funding by $150 million from $3.465 billion (the amount that was provided in FY 2013 prior to the sequester) to $3.61 billion.

The following table shows state-by-state allocations for FY 12 through FY 14.
