Join NEADA in celebrating the inaugural #NationalEnergyAssistanceDay on February 1, 2022, and help millions of families #KeepTheHeatOn this winter. We have developed a toolkit to help states, local intake offices, and partner organizations participate in the event through media outreach, local events, and social media.
National Energy Assistance Day 2022 has three goals:
1. Raise awareness about the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, and other state and local energy assistance programs.
2. Encourage households that need help who may not be aware they are eligible to apply for LIHEAP
3. Strengthen partnerships between state and local LIHEAP offices, utilities, and other groups involved in energy affordability.
